Lola Renner has been designing and making dollhouse Miniatures since 1978.
As a young girl Lola's mother encouraged her creativity. At the age of nine she had her first business license, and by age twelve had sold art work to her first store. After college she married and started to raise a family and was soon able to return to her art. In the early 1970's she was making tiny stuffed animals in unique scenes and sold them as Christmas ornaments to Allied Artist Guild in Menlo Park, California.
Lola discovered Fimo in 1978 and began creating tiny candies, cakes and other foods to go with her ornaments. Miniature stores owners saw the tiny creations at the Artist Guild and the orders began pouring in. For many years Lola was filling wholesale orders for stores around the country.
Lola received Artisan status in 1998 from the International Guild of Miniature Artists and began branching out from her creative lollipop stands, candy stick displays, and beautiful Wedding Cakes. She now enjoys making all sorts of fruit and appetizer trays. Her shrimp tray and lobster dinners are always a hit at the dollhouse shows.
Lola says it has been such a delight to do many London Dollhouse Shows along with shows across the United States for the past 30 years. She is now entering a new phase of her career with a brand new and exciting website that she hopes everyone will enjoy!
